I feel much calmer for having done this course. Stressful situations haven’t gone away but I feel more able to deal with them. Even just taking a few minutes out each day to just “be” has really helped.

The Be Mindful course helped me become aware of thoughts and emotions, both internally and externally. I was surprised by how much I did not notice going on around me. Grounding myself, using the mindful breathing exercises, has now become a part of my daily life. I feel more aware, less stress, and generally happier. I would like to thank Oliver Beer, The Ohio State University, for providing me with a place on the course. In a little as four weeks, my life has changed as a result of participating. This took perseverance and sacrifice. It was worth every minute. I would also like to thank the people at Be Mindful for creating the course.

Dear Tessa and Ed and Mindfulness Team, The Mindfulness course has given me many tools such as self assessment, deep breathing and and how to help become calm and reduce my own anxiety, it has enabled me to help myself. I would like to take the stress test again in about a month and in 2 months. I am in the process of organising my daughter's funeral , which takes place at the end of August. And at the present time, there is so much to do and so many questions to ask and sometimes the answers don't make sense. I will be glad when we have laid my daughter to rest and we can start the grieving process and try to move on with our lives as alot of what we are doing at the moment just seems overwhelming. Although I am grateful for what I learnt in this course, as without it I think I would be completely in the floor, and doubting my ability to cope with things, the stress tests have meant that not only have been re accessing my own stress levels of how I've been managing , but have been a useful tool , to look at how other family members have been coping aswell, and prehaps help flag up where they may need support or understanding.

I found the course very understanding of my personal condition - anxiety/depression. Is the course hard? Well, with said conditions even the smallest, simplest tasks, especially new things can be very hard. An understanding of this alone has made me feel a little better, knowing and recognising things when others do not is a very good medicine I find. Achieving goals, work targets, exams, life experiences etc all generate stress; this course is a goal - I found it difficult because of my condition but very soothing and the work at your own pace, hassle free approach was very helpful and I feel good for achieving it.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the mindfulness course. I was sceptical initially but had heard some positive feedback from colleagues in the past. Paying attention to myself and my breathing must be the hardest thing I have done for a long time. When this was first introduced to me I was unsure but you were right, practice enables more effective mindfulness going forward. I feel more calm, able to deal with daily issues and dead lines. I tend to stop and feel how I am feeling rather than carrying on regardless with no thought to how I am physically or emotionally. Thank you I hope to continue and improve my life, ability to improve my mindfulness and feel less stressed and anxious.

I found this course to be very helpful in practicing and understanding mindfulness. I hated even the word "mindfulness", ha-ha. Like "who are you to tell me how to breathe"! but I put those feelings aside and do embrace mindfulness a little bit more. no "a-ha" moments, but a few times a day, when i may get unnerved, it does cross my mind and I breathe..unless i think of it after the fact! I am glad we are able to keep our information, I plan to practice one thing once a day and hope that it becomes simply natural to me eventually. Thank you so very much!

This course has been a game changer for me. It has considerably reduced my anxiety levels and has given me the confidence to manage my feelings and emotions. There is no doubt that Mindfulness has improved my quality of life at a time when I was feeling particularly low and helpless. I am so very grateful.

Very clearly set out. The presenters were calm and I felt that they cared - even through a recording. I liked the gentle reminders to complete the course and I did not feel under pressure to finish.
Very enjoyable and a useful introduction to Mindfulness. I will continue with my journey and love the fact I can still access the materials.

I found this to be a great refresher course for the eight week group Oxford Mindfulness course I completed a few years ago, which I found lifesaving at the time. The exercises are easy to follow and the course helped with my motivation to get back into the habit of practicing Mindfulness in the everyday, which I find very calming. I try to do a regular Mindfulness practice for an hour once a week but sometimes this isn't always enough to cope with the things outside of my control, such as work pressures and Covid 19 stress. It has reminded me to 'take a breath and relax' about the things I can't change! Overall I am glad I did this course. My mood has definitely improved from where I was at the beginning and I would recommend a mindfulness course to anyone who is currently struggling with their mental health.

As a beginner at Mindfulness I didn't know what to expect but this course was so helpful with the starting steps to learning how to Be Mindful. Each section was explained with clear instructions and each sessions was easy to do.. yes my mind did wander but by bringing it back with the breath was something I could do. I now have tools to use when I become anxious or stressed. I would recommend this course if you are wanting to start out with Mindful living.
